This privacy notice provides information on how Claire Sowton, trading as Cloud Quilting (“Cloud Quilting”, “us” or “we”) collects and processes your personal data.
If you have any questions about how we handle your personal information, please contact us using the details in the “How to contact us” section below.
Types of personal information we collect
We may collect, use, store and transfer certain personal information about you including your name, your address, your telephone number or email address, your date of birth and information used in order to process your payment for goods or services.
We call this data personal information.
Where we need to collect personal data by law, or under the terms of a contract we have with you, and you fail to provide that data when requested, we may not be able to perform the contract we have or are trying to enter into with you (for example, to provide you with goods or services). In this case, we may have to cancel a product or service you have with us, but we will notify you if this is the case at the time.
How do we collect your data?
We collect your personal information when you make a purchase, register online, browse our website, request marketing to be sent to you, give us feedback or contact us.
When you make a purchase on our website you will also be asked to enter your credit or debit card details via a ‘payment gateway’ website which asks for your card details, or you might be asked to enter these directly onto our website.
How will we use your data?
We will only use your personal data when the law allows us to. Most commonly, we will use your personal data in the following circumstances:
• Where we need to perform the contract we have entered into or are about to enter with you
• Where it is necessary for your legitimate interests
• Where we need to comply with a legal obligation
We will get your consent before sending third party direct marketing communications to you via email.
We will share personal information and device information with third parties in their capacity as a data processor on our behalf. We'll only share your information with third parties in so far as they assist us with using your information. The third parties we use include Paypal (to process payments). Privacy policies for these third parties can be found via the following links:
We may also share your personal information and device information in order to comply with applicable laws and regulations or to respond to any lawful request for information we receive, or to otherwise protect our rights.
How do we store your data?
We store your personal data on password-protected systems and never share this information with third parties except when required during the order fulfilment process. When you make a payment online, we do not store your card details or other information. Transactions are handled independently by our payment providers.
Your full credit or debit card details are never stored on any databases we hold. You may be asked if you want to 'store' your purchase information for faster checkout at a later date, where you do store this information the full card information is never stored on any databases we hold. Instead we send the full information to our payment processor, who then send back a secure 'token' which we then use to place future purchases. To help you identify stored cards, we may store the last 4 digits of the card, the type of card (e.g. Visa or MasterCard) and the expiry date.
Where you wish, you can always delete a stored card within your customer account.
