Quilt design meets computer science.

Claire Sowton brings to quilt design a background researching and managing programmes of arts activity and an interest in data visualisation.

Developing this tool is as much provocation as it is a new way to design a quilt. Which special moments are brought to life using the pattern creator? What forms of stitching are used by quilters to complement a design or add new layers of meaning? Do new design processes attract new audiences to quilting?
